Ice-ice Baby

It’s Saturday again and this is the time for daddy to bring us go “kai kai”. Edward & mummy are both very happy of it as we can go to Auto-City for delicious food. As normal, we went there after dinner. This time we go to ice-ice Baby. Therefore, we order those light food such as pan cakes, ice-cream, mini pizza & etc. Edward is now able to sit on his own; therefore we can enjoy the food very much! But, grandpa always wanna carry him & play with him. Before we leave, I give Edward a bottle of milk & he finish off very fast. I am the one enjoy the ice-cream very much!

Organic Holle Rolled Oats Porridge & Apple

After a tiring morning in the office, hubby brings me to Fettes Park to have my favourite “kaoy teow soup”. However, I would normally look for dried one as I like the taste of the dark soya source. Then, I ask hubby to bring me to the organic shop in Pulau Tikus market to buy the Holle Rolled Oats Porridge for my lil prince. I always feel that oats is a good for growing up children, therefore I want my son to have it too.(surely mummy wanna give the best to Edward boy!)

Besides buying the organic oats, I buy a packet of of organic apples too as I would like to make apple puree for my son. However, the apple is very expensive! It cost me RM 20+ for 4 pcs of middle size apple. I wish my son love the taste.

Dim sum at Northern Hotel

After the visit to Island Hospital, I feel relief!(especially the doctor says it’s nothing “big” to worry) There only I remember that I did not take breakfast in the morning. (I was too worry until out of appetite) Now, only I realize my tummy is having drums performance. (ping! pong! peng!) ops, I’m so hungry!!!!!

Since I’m not working today, it’ll not be rushing to enjoy my lunch. I plan to bring my mom for dim sum treat in Northern Hotel which is quite near to Island Hospital. I love the dim sum there although there is not much choice. I use to eat dim sum there when I was pregnant with Edward. I order quite a lot of food from the menu. Since there are only 3 adults there, it’s impossible for us to finish it all. My mom comment towards the dim sum is so so only while my maid loves the porridge so much. Edward is still sleeping when we reach there but he wakes up after a while. (maybe he also want to have a taste of his favourite dim sum) we do let him have a taste of the porridge before giving him his cereal. (luckily mummy bring along your bowl & cereal as mummy knows that you surely looking for it) We all enjoy the dim dum while my son enjoys his cereal too!

New blender

I have been thinking to get a new blender for preparing Edward’s foods & drinks. However, I’m not sure worth it or not as we have one at home since many years back which we seldom use. I totally feel unhygienic for using the old one as we have been using it to blend chilly & belacan which is smelly yet hot. (I know it sound crazy! The blender is clean & tasteless after washing) but I really don’t like it as I want the best for my baby. For me, everything must be new one for my baby!

Without thinking much after giving myself so much convincing reason to own a new blender, I immediately head to Takashima. (daddy surely say that mummy is wasting his hard earn money again! Sorry, my dear! I know you love Edward too, am I right?) The salesman really has a sweet talk. There is another woman buying the same product as I for preparing her granddaughter’s food. Both of us sharing the same thought & learning every single step that the salesman explains. We feel satisfied with the product as it has many functions too.

I hope it wouldn’t be a waste for owning a new blender. I’m sure I’ll fully utilize it! I want to blend juices & make apple puree for my little darling. Not to forget my big darling as well! (hubs, you are always in my mind too)

1st taste of porridge

I never thought to start Edward with porridge so soon as I always thinking of better let him enjoy his cereal until he reach one year old. In my opinion, I felt that he can consume more milk powder with cereal comparing to porridge. However, my SIL told me that Edward may lack of nutrients if only consume cereal & milk alone when she visit me on last week. As according to pead, he also suggest to let Edward start with porridge too. Therefore, I make up my mind to let him a try by this week.

I prepare the ingredients of the porridge such as anchovies on Monday by frying it till fragrance. My SIL told me that anchovies are good for the bones & teeth of the growing up baby, and I agree with it! My auntie is the one who cook the porridge for my son. She cooks it with fish & vegetables (spinach). My mom feed him in the evening and he shows the sign of “liking” to us. He demands for speedy feeding as he like the taste so much. Every one of us is really happy with it as all of the effort worth it out! I hope he’ll continuously show us that he loves to eat as the porridge really full of nutrients which is really good for growing up baby!

Message to my lil prince:-

Edward, how’s is the taste of your porridge? Nice? Yummy? Good?

Mummy hopes that you enjoy it very much! (actually mummy share with you with the left over portion in the slow cooker as “kor poh” really cook a bit pot for you) Mummy like the taste too!Daddy told me just now that he don't mind to share with you too! Wow, your porridge must be very good to taste which can attract your daddy.

Pizza Hut

Its Saturday night again! It’s a good time for me & Edward to go “kai kai” as daddy mostly free on this day. No matter how busy is daddy, he still manage to bring us for outing at night which is most probably at Auto City. My PIL have wedding dinner tonight, therefore they don’t follow us today. Since MIL is not cooking tonight, we surely have to eat outside! (that’s what I’m looking for!)

I ask hubby to go for Pizza as the voucher of Edward’s full moon still left with a few pieces. I would like to utilize it as it’s soon to expire by end of this month. It’s really crowded in the restaurant as its Saturday that most people eating outside. Anyhow, we manage to get a table there after waiting for a few minutes. Hubby & I order quite a lot of food including two pizza, lagsania, chicken wings, soup, bread stick, garlic bread & etc. Somehow there are only 3 of us including my maid.(excluding my lil prince) they serve the food really fast! The waitress give my son a plastic plate which keep him occupy through the dinner. He really enjoy playing with the plate by passing from one hand to another but there are a few times that daddy or mummy have to pick it up from the floor.(thanks to the waitress!) There mummy & daddy really enjoy the food so much! My maid can eat with peace of mind too. Hubby feeds Edward with the chicken soup & the cheese from the lagsania too! That’s really make Edward happy through out the night! He keeps on smiling & looking around when we are having our dinner. There’s one lady sitting beside our table smile with my son & that make my son babbling with her too. Overall, my son behaves very well the night!

Three of us finish all the food on the table and end up we need to get a stroll to burn out all the fat taken from the food. Yet, it’s a good reason for mummy to shop around the store there. They sell a lot of nice jewelry & hair accessories there. How good if my hair is long enough to put on those beautiful hair accessories. (mummy trim the long hair when pregnant with Edward) therefore, end up buying nothing but it’s good to look around too!

Edward sleep all the way back home & I only wake him up when we reach home as mummy wanna change him with pyjamas & feed him with milk before his beauty sleep.

My favourite Cheese Cake

Every time when I’m having buffet in hotels, what I’m truly looking for is the desert as they really serve with varieties of yummy cakes, pastry & etc……that’s really attractive!(how am I going to slim down if I can’t stop myself from all these tempting food?gosh……..)
As usual, my all time favourite still the cheese cake that I never missed out each time having buffet in hotel. Hubby gets a slice of cheese cake for Edward when we are trying to make him sit still on the baby seat. Surely my son will not be able to finish it. Therefore, I must be the “big helper” to finish up the cheese cake. (it’s really a waste if couldn’t finish it, bleh blek bla……..) On top of that, I manage to eat another piece of cheese cake without sharing with anybody. (damn good!!!!) I miss you like crazy…….opps, it’s cheese cake!

It’s Haagen Dazz time again!!!!!

Mummy is the one who always thinking about Haagen Dazz, as mummy cannot resist the smooth & creamy ice-cream with chocolate! Since daddy will be late for dinner tonight, why not mummy brings my lil prince with my aunty for the ice-cream treats? Yet, my aunty is the chocolate lovers too. (so long that I din bring my aunty for any special treats)

There’s drizzling outside but I still insist to go there but we are very lucky as the rain stop when we reach there. (I pray so hard for the rain to stop in the car) I’m surely order my favourite chocolate dip even there are two of us only. (never mind lar, mummy & kor poh sure can finish it) My son gets very excited when he looks on those ice-cream displays in the counter. He jumped up & down for non-stop when we get ourselves a seat there. Too poor that the baby chair is too big, therefore I have to carry him while enjoying my favourite yummy ice-cream. Even my aunty is willing to take turns for carrying Edward but I insist of carry him by myself as I want my aunty to fully enjoy her ice-cream.

It’s really nice to bring Edward out so he may not feel shy when meets with stranger, yet he can explore with new things that comes to him. Happy Haagen Dazz Day!!!!

ABC soup

My aunty so eager to cook for my son the ABC soup after learning that Edward love her soup so much yesterday. She purposely prepares it for him & sure we are going to have it too for lunch & dinner because it’s such a big pot. I mash the potatoes with the soup & feed him while I having my lunch too. (Edward is on the high chair, having his soup together with us at the dining hall). To his kor poh disappointment, he only takes a few spoons only. Do you know why? Heheheeeeeee………the durian is on the table that’s really attracting him! I think my son fell in love with durian already! He is much more preferred durian then his kor poh ABC soup. Durian……ya ……durian, that’s why you are the King of fruits!

First trial – soup & durian

When I’m back for lunch in this afternoon, my lil prince just finished his yummy cereal. He was wandering around the house while playing with his limited toys. (we seldom buy him toys) while I having my lunch, he come close to me as if demand for something without blinking his eyes. Mummy surely knows what he wants!

This little fella never miss out when it comes to food ever since he first started with solid food. He will approach you when he saw you with foods or drinks (even with a cup or bowl too) Since we are having soup for lunch, it’s no harm to let him a try and he like it so much! I feed him with a few spoon until my mom stop me from doing so as Edward just taken his cereal.

After we are back from the durian farm, daddy urges me to feed Edward with durian. It’s good to let him a taste of our favourites! Edward tastes it before somehow in last month & he shows us that he likes it. To my surprise, this little cranky is chasing me over to the kitchen by his walker after I stop feeding him. (I was washing my hand there) Can you imagine how fast he walks towards the kitchen? He cries when he looks at me & I know he demands for the durian. He cries non-stop when he see me standing there. Finally, daddy is the one who feed him with another round of durian. (see, all of us spoil him even we tell each other not to spoil him) hahaha………..we all love him what!

Durian treats

So long I have been waiting for hubby to bring me to Uncle Peng Siew’s farm to enjoy my favourite durian. I really miss it so much! (I mean the durian) I manage to wallop six to seven durians together with my hubby as both of us are durian’s lover. (that’s why we are lovers for so many years…..hahaha) ***grin***

Today is the time for us to enjoy over there as hubby had make a booking from the farm’s owner on yesterday. ***yippee*** Uncle Peng Siew open quite a few “brand” (name) of durian for us such as ang hair, koon poh, bak iu, hor lor, kim leng & etc, etc………., Can you imagine how we wallop it without more that 20 minutes. Yeah…….really yummy!!!!

Hubby bought a few packet (guni) of durian back home (I think around 15-20), which we will distribute among my aunty house & my in-laws as well. They are sure happy about it. I get my favourite durian cake too! Besides that, I buy eggs of the kampong chicken. It’s such a nice trip to the farm as we are back with packets of durian & enjoying so much of durian there. When’s my next trip????? (hubby, if u are reading this, don forget to bring me there again, ok?)

Fun time at Haagen Dazz

See, I must be fall in love with Haagen Dazz! i keep on telling hubs that how yummy the taste of ice-cream from Haagen Dazz. I wish my son would get a chance to have a taste! Finally after dinner, hubby plans to bring us there together with my in-laws & maid. Surely we are not driving all the way to Bellisa Roll in Penang. We just go to the Haagen Dazz in Auto City. Honestly tell you, the environment there are much more comfortable with all the glass windows around. We can look through the window for outside view. Comparing with the one in Penang, this one are more crowded with customers. This is the first time I have been there & they do provide Wi-Fi service too. Hubby is happy with it as he can follow up with his incoming mail without wasting time while enjoying the yummy ice-cream. Real cool!
I order a set of chocolate dip & mocha coffee for my MIL who doesn’t like chocolate. How waste that she does not know how to appreciate the thick & creamy chocolate with ice-cream & fruits. As hubby is so busy replying mail while FIL busy entertained my little cheeky, I’m the one end up to finish all! Oh no……fat fat fat again! Geee…how can I resist such temptation? Err…….!
My son surely gets a few spoonful of ice-cream feeding by his grandpa. Not to mention that this little fella enjoying a small piece if sponge cake as well. He’ even demands for more & more. With the help of grandpa, my little darling manages to stand on the sofa while playing with the flyers on the rack behind the sofa. He really enjoy until forget of his milky time that he usually request for it around that time. Surely, mummy never forgets it. I make him a bottle of milk & feed him over there before going home. He bottom-up his milk & drinks a lot of water too. I know he is very sleepy after having his milk but he still wanna play with grandpa. However, he sleep all the way home once we get into the car.

Haagen Dazz

After having chocolate dip with ice-cream at Swenson on last week, I can’t resist the yummy chocolate taste which always put on my mind for it. Oh…, I can’t stop thinking of it! Gee….., i must have it by today! Before off from work, I quickly call one of my best friends, i.e., Mei Ling to join me for this yummy treats. I know she likes chocolate very much too!

Both of us love it so much as the portion of chocolates they serves is much more comparing with Swenson. However, the price is definitely much more expensive too. It serves with apple, banana, strawberries, mini cakes, oreo biscuits, chocolate sticks & of course the best of the best ice-cream from Haagen Dazz with 4 different flavour. Sound attractive & yummy to taste, correct? Opps……my saliva is dripping again.

Farley's biscuits with milk

We used to let Edward drink milk every morning before taking his morning nap since he's a baby. However, we felt that it's no longer sufficient for my baby anymore as he keeps on growing from day to day. He needs more semi-solid food to make his stomach full.

I know very well about the baby biscuits as me myself love to eat too during my teenage days. It must be very weird for a teenage girl to eat baby biscuits, but I just love the taste, that's all. So far as to my concern, Farley is the best among all those brands. Therefore, I ask my hubby to get one small packets of Farley's biscuits for our little lil prince. I hope that he likes it just as mummy.

Since then, my mother will make him the biscuits dip in hot milk. He shows the sign that he loves it so much. Sometimes, my mum just skips the biscuits time when he drink his milk around nine something in the morning. This make my little cheeky reluctant to drink his milk & demand for biscuits when my mother feeds him with milk in the milk bottle. How smart my baby who knows very well to differentiates which one taste nicer! Anyways, this biscuits is good for growing up baby & it's another kind of food for my son to taste rather than cereal itself.

Cake

Eh, don’t be mistaken by these two lovely cakes that anyone in my family is birthday! Yet, mother’s day just over already. Then, what about the cakes? Haha, actually it doesn’t means anything. It’s only a cake to share within my families & friends. I purposely take the picture as I wanted to show everybody how nice & creativity of the baker. Isn’t it looks very nice & yummy?

My hubby purposely came back earlier to fetch me to the cake shop located in Prima Tanjung & bought these two lovely cakes for me. See, my hubby is so romantic at some times. Ops, so sweet & touching! LOL!

The shop has plenty of cakes with variety of design & flavour. All the cakes look so nice & attractive. Honestly, I wish to have all. I’m sure to visit this cake house again to taste all of the flavour. Then I’ll become “fatty boon”. Sob….sob….sob…..

Wi-Fi in everywhere

I & my hubby decided to have our lunch at Gurney as we can utilize our lunch time by using Wi-fi services provided by most of the restaurants there. I was really tired & hungry as I have to work on this Saturday! Honestly, I hate working on Saturday!

I opt to have my lunch at Manila Place as the environment is not bad while the food is yummy too especially the pita bread with smoke salmon! Yumm….. It’s hard to get a nice seat there as there are a lot of people using the Internet services while having their meal just like me. I used to bring a long my laptop with me these days as I love blogging so much. My auntie house still not yet installing the streamyx & I spend most of the time there as my little darling is currently staying in my auntie place.

I manage to post my blog & do some surfing while my hubby can do his work & check our mail at the same time enjoying our meal. Unfortunately, the pita bread with smoke salmon is only available for breakfast. How good if no need to work on this morning, surely I can enjoy it for my breakfast.

After our lunch, I notice that a lot of people with their laptop on the table when I walk through the Gurney Walk. It’s good for those restaurants offering such an extra services to attract customer. If I were to own a restaurant, sure am I to offer this kind of service.

Back to Cereal

We had stopped Edward from taking cereal for two days since Wednesday as he was having slight fever. Yet, Edward was out of appetite too!

I found that his fever was slightly subsided after taken medicine for twice. Therefore I tell my mum to let him having his favourite cereal as mummy had promised my little darling that once his fever subsided, mummy will let him having his cereal back as normal routine. That’s what my boy’s favourite. I’m sure he misses it so much.

It’s lucky that I get back on time to see him having back his cereal this afternoon. I know my little darling was waiting for me. You can’t imagine the way he demands for the cereal! He jumped up & down and yelled for cereal once he finishes each every spoonful. It’s really fast until my mum was unable to meet his demand on time. That’s really makes him frustrated when my mum was too slow, he’ll cried out loudly. Pity of my mum has to act so fast as her grandson was too demanding.

However we are so happy to see him back to his appetite. At least we can take a deep breath after two days of worries. It’s ok to see my son being too active so long as my son is healthy.

Jelly

I promised my hubby to give him a surprise yesterday as he has work very hard for our future. I think now is the time to reward him with something much valuable than those getting from the shops. I think twice & finally made up my mind to make him a homemade jelly which is fun in shapes.

I remembered the last time I made the jelly was 2 years back. I used to make my hubby jelly during our courtship. He’s a jelly lover! He loves to eat whatever jelly I made for him. He manages to wallop 3-4 trays in one time. Now you can understand why I have to make more than 30 trays each time & you must be surprise to find out that all can be finished within 2 days. What makes my jelly so tasty? The trick is the golden peaches & its syrup. That’s how I tied my hubby’s heart during our courtship that makes him crazy of me. Hehehehehe!

My hubby was so happy & he enjoyed it so much even his tummy is really full. See, men always treasure those things which are hard to get. I mustn’t make it too frequently so as to make him appreciate more. Hahahaha! Anyway, I’m going to make it again next week as it’s really too nice to pop inside my mouth. I, myself like it so much! Not to mention that I’m a good cook too1LOL!

1st Taste - Durian!

We decided to bring Edward to the durian farm in Balik Pulau on Labour Day as me & my hubby were not working on public holiday. What a good time to spend together with our love ones!At first i was the one who reluctant to bring Edward to durian farm.I'm worry that he might end up crying there as it's really hot in the farm without air-cond.However,my hubby insist on bringing Edward there.
My hubby & i are both durian lovers. We like to eat durian very much. It's lucky for me to get a hubby who love durian too,if not I'm sure I'll miss the chance to taste it anymore.Edward never take any solid food before due to the recommendation of doctor that it's best to take after 6 moths old.My hubby let Edward to have a first taste of durian when the uncle opened us a durian named "Hor Lor".I'm not sure whether it's OK or not to let Edward taste the durian but anyway it's just a few bites only! The durian farm's owner said it's OK for baby of 3 moths old above to take durian as to his experience. My mum also agree to let him has a taste too, so mummy have no choice but to agree too.
Edward seems to love durian so much. He'll request his daddy to let him taste another bite after finish the one in his mouth.Maybe this is inherited from daddy & mummy, both who love durian like crazy.Edward enjoyed so much that day & don't even make a noise. Now,there are 3 of us who love durian.Daddy have to spend more to buy durian.(hahaha!!!)
Wow,can't believe that Durian was the 1st solid food that Edward took !My hubby sure let him taste whenever we eat durian.
