Spending time with Edward

Mummy always feel guilty for unable to spend more time with Edward as mummy need to work everyday. I normally feel tired after a day long at work & this really make me feel so bad about it. I have plenty of plans between my son & me, but I hardly fulfill it. I want to teach my son with alphabet & picture but I abandon the plan a few months ago. Only one thing that I never miss is the bed time rhymes! But somehow, I really feel not enough! Therefore, I told myself to spend more time with him from today onwards no matter how tired am i.

Today, after back from office, i play with him & talk to him for the whole night. He seems to understand it & he’s really happy. I carry him here & there, letting him explore on his walker, singing songs, babbling together with him & so on. It’s really fun that he give me a very excited response even at times I may feel sleepy a bit but overall everything is fine. I wish I could do this more often & starts with him with some early learning program. Hopefully, it’s still not too late to do so!

Message to my lil Prince:-

Dear Edward, mummy feels so sorry that unable to coach you with some early learning program. Mummy mostly left you under the care of “kor poh” at night time while mummy only looking around. Mummy promises to spend most of the night time with Edward alone without any help from anybody, ok? At least some of the reading time together to improve your little knowledge!

Bumbo Chair

Mummy has been searching around for the Bumbo Chair in this week after get to know about it from other blogger's mummy. I find it quite nice & useful for those babies who are still not yet expert in the sitting position. It can help to support the back of baby too! Therefore, mummy desperately wants get one for my lil prince who is very new to the sitting skill. I have been to two baby shop in Gurney Plaza but all of them also out of stock! Yet, they told me it’s quite pricy! (mummy doesn’t care. All I want is the best for my precious darling!)

Finally, mummy gets to know that Winsome are selling the Bumbo Chair with 3 colors of choices. There are yellow, light blue & purple. The yellow colour is too bright while the purple one looks more girlish. Therefore mummy get the light blue for my lil prince! The chair looks really cute with an elephant trunk in the middle of the front side. It cost us RM199.00. However, daddy is the one who buy this present for Edward!

Once we get home, we immediately let Edward have a seat on it. However, Edward usually needs to take time for warming up with those new things comes to him. Luckily, he manages to cope with it very well. He likes it too! Maybe it’s really comfortable to sit on it. How good if mummy can get it a try too! Too bad that mummy’s bum is really big to fit in. I’m not sure how long does this chair will last for my son as I dunno whether he still can be fitted inside the chair when he grows bigger. Hopefully not that soon!

Daddy is really excited, he’s even letting Edward sitting the Bumbo Chair on our bed. See, how my hubby spoils my lil prince. Yet, he’s the one keep on reminding me not to spoil Edward.

1st taste of porridge

I never thought to start Edward with porridge so soon as I always thinking of better let him enjoy his cereal until he reach one year old. In my opinion, I felt that he can consume more milk powder with cereal comparing to porridge. However, my SIL told me that Edward may lack of nutrients if only consume cereal & milk alone when she visit me on last week. As according to pead, he also suggest to let Edward start with porridge too. Therefore, I make up my mind to let him a try by this week.

I prepare the ingredients of the porridge such as anchovies on Monday by frying it till fragrance. My SIL told me that anchovies are good for the bones & teeth of the growing up baby, and I agree with it! My auntie is the one who cook the porridge for my son. She cooks it with fish & vegetables (spinach). My mom feed him in the evening and he shows the sign of “liking” to us. He demands for speedy feeding as he like the taste so much. Every one of us is really happy with it as all of the effort worth it out! I hope he’ll continuously show us that he loves to eat as the porridge really full of nutrients which is really good for growing up baby!

Message to my lil prince:-

Edward, how’s is the taste of your porridge? Nice? Yummy? Good?

Mummy hopes that you enjoy it very much! (actually mummy share with you with the left over portion in the slow cooker as “kor poh” really cook a bit pot for you) Mummy like the taste too!Daddy told me just now that he don't mind to share with you too! Wow, your porridge must be very good to taste which can attract your daddy.

Pizza Hut

Its Saturday night again! It’s a good time for me & Edward to go “kai kai” as daddy mostly free on this day. No matter how busy is daddy, he still manage to bring us for outing at night which is most probably at Auto City. My PIL have wedding dinner tonight, therefore they don’t follow us today. Since MIL is not cooking tonight, we surely have to eat outside! (that’s what I’m looking for!)

I ask hubby to go for Pizza as the voucher of Edward’s full moon still left with a few pieces. I would like to utilize it as it’s soon to expire by end of this month. It’s really crowded in the restaurant as its Saturday that most people eating outside. Anyhow, we manage to get a table there after waiting for a few minutes. Hubby & I order quite a lot of food including two pizza, lagsania, chicken wings, soup, bread stick, garlic bread & etc. Somehow there are only 3 of us including my maid.(excluding my lil prince) they serve the food really fast! The waitress give my son a plastic plate which keep him occupy through the dinner. He really enjoy playing with the plate by passing from one hand to another but there are a few times that daddy or mummy have to pick it up from the floor.(thanks to the waitress!) There mummy & daddy really enjoy the food so much! My maid can eat with peace of mind too. Hubby feeds Edward with the chicken soup & the cheese from the lagsania too! That’s really make Edward happy through out the night! He keeps on smiling & looking around when we are having our dinner. There’s one lady sitting beside our table smile with my son & that make my son babbling with her too. Overall, my son behaves very well the night!

Three of us finish all the food on the table and end up we need to get a stroll to burn out all the fat taken from the food. Yet, it’s a good reason for mummy to shop around the store there. They sell a lot of nice jewelry & hair accessories there. How good if my hair is long enough to put on those beautiful hair accessories. (mummy trim the long hair when pregnant with Edward) therefore, end up buying nothing but it’s good to look around too!

Edward sleep all the way back home & I only wake him up when we reach home as mummy wanna change him with pyjamas & feed him with milk before his beauty sleep.

First ever photo shot in studio

Edward is really excited when I told him that I’m going to bring him for photo shooting tonight. I’m not sure whether he understand or not but he was too excited until do not taking any nap since morning till evening. (he usually taking nap twice a day in the morning & afternoon)

By the time I reach home & rushing to get him ready for the photo shooting session, he looks so tired & keeps on making all sort of noises. It’s really hard to put on his clothes especially when he’s twist & turn his body and yelling for no reason. However, my mom manages to get everything ready! Phew!

When we were in the studio there, the photographer told us that the shooting session should not start that soon. He wants to give Edward some time for warming up 1st. However, I really “kan cheong” as Edward look so sleepy already. Luckily it doesn’t take that long! The photographer is advising me to stay close to Edward by taking good care of his balancing. I wonder am I also been taken in the photo. He takes quite a lot of shooting from different ankle but only hard to get my son smiley face. He stays cool at most of the time with only a few smiley looks. The photographer told me that Edward is “catching fish” in the middle of session. :p This must be that he doesn’t want to sleep for the whole day!

After shooting, I immediately view all those pictures taken just now. That’s so call technology! Although those photo doesn’t look really nice, but I want all of it. That what my baby 1st ever photo shooting in the studio! I really treasure it so much! It may not look nice but it’s an experience & memory for my son. I’m planning to bring him for another photo shooting in the studio when he reaches 1 year old.

More new clothes for Edward

I’m always wanted to buy more new clothes for Edward even there are plenty in his wardrobe as mummy wanna his son to look handsome in everyday. Therefore, it’s really hard to stop my itchy hand away from buying those nice clothes from baby shop & shopping mall.

Since mummy is quite free today, I plan to bring Edward to the newly open baby shop after dinner. Surely, Edward is very excited! (not because of new clothes but he can go “kai kai”) He loves “kai kai” very much! He will jump up & down when we mention to him about “kai kai”. How smart of kids nowadays!

We enter the shop & found that they do sell Disney cartoon character products. The shop is not very big but they offer quite a few ranges of products. Of course, I’m much more interested on those nice clothing hanging there! I buy quite a lot of clothes for my little darling. I also grab the feeding teats of Avent as that’s the one which I hardly get in shopping mall or even direct from the distributor. Surely, I take a few instead of one or two. Besides that, I buy 2 nice clothes of Pooh Bear for my nephew too! Hopefully he loves it! Edward enjoys looking around while mummy shops a lot, but “kor poh” is the one carrying Edward until out of strength! I never thought that those clothes end up cost me more than RM600. Ops, poor daddy have to pay for it again!

What a busy day?

I was really exhausted in this month especially today as I need to help hubby in finalizing his company’s account due to submission of tax in end of this month. Since I’m not working with hubby, I seldom update his account that frequently. Therefore, a lot of work has been piling up on the desk waiting for me to finish it. However, my son, little Edward was really super clingy towards me that makes me hardly complete my job within the time frame given by my tax agent as she need to do the taxation part for me. What to do ar? Mummy has to burn midnight oil lor! I started doing my work after tucking him to bed which is almost 10.30pm yesterday. Oh no, my skin must look terrible without enough beauty sleep! I must finish it by today & let myself to get enough rest after these busy days. Its really pitiful of daddy has to work till very late every night yet still helping me feeding my little darling. I tell myself to love & care for him more as he really scarifies a lot to this family! He’s really a good husband to me while a good daddy to Edward. I’m always proud of my hubby! I love you, big darling!

Super clingy to mummy

Edward seems to super clingy towards me as if there is glue within us nowadays. When I’m out of his sight, he’ll make all kind of noise to get my attention. This is really hard when I’m trying to do my own things. I try to leave him under the care of my aunty when we are back from Butterworth as I need to get myself a nap before his next feeding of cereal. However, it’s really hard for my aunty to handle him as he making the noise for non-stop, twist & turn his body, yelling & etc….., just wanna get me to attend to him. But, this lazy mummy still gets a nap in the other room as I feel safe when he is under the care of my aunty. I was wondering what if I’m away for 2nd honeymoon with hubby? I think that must be quite impossible within this few years.

My favourite Cheese Cake

Every time when I’m having buffet in hotels, what I’m truly looking for is the desert as they really serve with varieties of yummy cakes, pastry & etc……that’s really attractive!(how am I going to slim down if I can’t stop myself from all these tempting food?gosh……..)
As usual, my all time favourite still the cheese cake that I never missed out each time having buffet in hotel. Hubby gets a slice of cheese cake for Edward when we are trying to make him sit still on the baby seat. Surely my son will not be able to finish it. Therefore, I must be the “big helper” to finish up the cheese cake. (it’s really a waste if couldn’t finish it, bleh blek bla……..) On top of that, I manage to eat another piece of cheese cake without sharing with anybody. (damn good!!!!) I miss you like crazy…….opps, it’s cheese cake!

Fathers Day Celebration at E&O

I’m just back from celebrating Fathers’ Day at E & O hotel. It’s such a good place for celebration as they serve with varieties of international food together with free flow of wine & beer.

We arrive there quite early, but to my surprise, it’s full of guests already! We went there together with my in-laws too as my hubby wanna treats his dad’s with nice dinner. (this’ll always make me thinking of my father! How if he’s still alive? i think I’ll never miss to celebrate with him. I miss my dad so much!) Edward is behaving well too but he reluctant to sit on the high chair (he made his crying face when he was sitting facing the “ang moh”. Maybe he feels scary of the “ang moh”), therefore we have to take turns to carry him. He enjoys his milky time at the lobby there as there is less noise there. Edward does enjoy the cheese cake too!

After paying the bill, hubby & my FIL get the mug of E&O each. It’s not bad too as there are a little present for the fathers. I think I’ll treat hubby a nice dinner for this Fathers’ Day as I really have no idea on what to buy for him. Hopefully, he is happy with it!

At least, Edward is the best present for him in this year! Hooray……………!

Waiting for daddy

Today we are not going back to Butterworth as mummy has to work tomorrow. That’s what I hate most. Furthermore, tomorrow is Father’s Day! I’m wondering how if I’m not working tomorrow. geee…….. better don’t dream that early………….slap slap slap…..

Hubby is going to have durian with his customer at Uncle Peng Siew’s farm after work. Therefore, daddy will not be home early for his dinner. (mummy & Edward miss daddy so much)!

Edward was a bit out of mood, he doesn’t want to play & frequently make noise in his walker. I wonder why he behaves like this as he seldom shows this before. However, mummy’s trying to make all sorts of funny face to cheer up my little darling. Around 9.30pm, we get Edward a change. Then, it’ll normally proceed to milking time. After having his milk, we try to put him into his cradle. But, he doesn’t want to sleep at all. He wails out his lung again & again! Therefore, I have no choice but to carry him out from the cradle. I saw him looking to the door where my hubby hang his clothes, there only I know this little fella miss his daddy so much! oh, poor baby! (your daddy always busy with work that makes you hardly see him but the bond between two of you are so strong)

When daddy calling home to inform me that he’s going to be late as he need to send his customer back, I tell him the whole incidents. I tell my poor Edward that he must sleep 1st while waiting for daddy. I’m doing the same as before by bringing him to his daddy’s clothes & let him get the smell of it. After awhile, there only he’s willing to sleep. If not, mummy still cannot update my blog right now!

Another message to daddy:-

Your son really misses you! I think you better get yourself a day free to accompany your son if you really love him. Weekend itself is no longer enough for your little demander!

Friends gathering

It has been so long that mummy did not meet up with my old days’ friends. We don’t even chatting through msn or through phone. There’s no e-mail between mummy & friends too. Maybe mummy just too busy with my daily life especially after Edward came into this world. I think the last time I meet up with them were during my wedding, i.e., end of year 2006. Wow, so long ago!

Actually this is how the gathering happened in place. Aunty Phaik Suan was online yesterday. Mummy asks her through msn whether she is free to meet up as we have almost lost of contact. Then, she is the one to arrange for the gathering by inviting other of my old buddies to come along. It’s so unexpected that most of them are ok for the gathering as the time really suits everybody. Good, thumbs up! Honestly mummy so excited, wondering how are them these days. Before the day, mummy try to recall back every sweet memory during our school days. We are really happy that time! Now, the day has come………..

da.....…..da…….da……..dang………….

Aunty Phaik Suan is the one who’s the 1st arrived waiting for us outside the Sushi King. Then, mummy gets the second. Therefore, mummy & Aunty Phaik Suan enjoying food 1st without waiting for others to come as it’s really weird without eating inside the shop. Then, Aunty Seng Tee came. Subsequently, here come Aunty Shuh Jiun & the last of the last, Aunty Ai Lun. They all really are doing well in their life. Aunty Ai Lun & Aunty Seng Tee are just like a corporate lady while Aunty Shuh Jiun still the sweetest among all. Not forget to mention, Aunty Phaik Suan has change to be more feminine than ever. I’m so happy that everybody leading such a wonderful lifestyle. We all have such a never ending compliment within each other. Honestly, everyone are really good & turning to another stages if life. Hopefully we all can meet each other that often in future.

Happy Gathering!!!!!

It’s Haagen Dazz time again!!!!!

Mummy is the one who always thinking about Haagen Dazz, as mummy cannot resist the smooth & creamy ice-cream with chocolate! Since daddy will be late for dinner tonight, why not mummy brings my lil prince with my aunty for the ice-cream treats? Yet, my aunty is the chocolate lovers too. (so long that I din bring my aunty for any special treats)

There’s drizzling outside but I still insist to go there but we are very lucky as the rain stop when we reach there. (I pray so hard for the rain to stop in the car) I’m surely order my favourite chocolate dip even there are two of us only. (never mind lar, mummy & kor poh sure can finish it) My son gets very excited when he looks on those ice-cream displays in the counter. He jumped up & down for non-stop when we get ourselves a seat there. Too poor that the baby chair is too big, therefore I have to carry him while enjoying my favourite yummy ice-cream. Even my aunty is willing to take turns for carrying Edward but I insist of carry him by myself as I want my aunty to fully enjoy her ice-cream.

It’s really nice to bring Edward out so he may not feel shy when meets with stranger, yet he can explore with new things that comes to him. Happy Haagen Dazz Day!!!!

ABC soup

My aunty so eager to cook for my son the ABC soup after learning that Edward love her soup so much yesterday. She purposely prepares it for him & sure we are going to have it too for lunch & dinner because it’s such a big pot. I mash the potatoes with the soup & feed him while I having my lunch too. (Edward is on the high chair, having his soup together with us at the dining hall). To his kor poh disappointment, he only takes a few spoons only. Do you know why? Heheheeeeeee………the durian is on the table that’s really attracting him! I think my son fell in love with durian already! He is much more preferred durian then his kor poh ABC soup. Durian……ya ……durian, that’s why you are the King of fruits!

My 1st hundred post!!!

Wow, it has been 100 posts that published in my blog! I never though I can write that much in the beginning, somehow I do it. Yes, I do it! I do it just because of my lil prince! (my precious baby Edward)

It’s really impressed when I go through other’s blog especially those blogger mummies! They write every milestone of their children, their daily life & even share with us their cooking skill on their blog. They are really super!

Anyhow, I will keep on blogging even I never write any paid post. As for me, I’m just blogging for fun! I just wanna jot down everything of my lil prince & our daily lifestyle so Edward will be able to read through when he grown up. I hope my son will appreciate it as this is a special present for him. Mummy does not want to miss out anything about him when mummy is old. I wish I can still remember during my old days, if not there are always a back-up for me, i.e., My Blog! I can always view through when I miss it.

First trial – soup & durian

When I’m back for lunch in this afternoon, my lil prince just finished his yummy cereal. He was wandering around the house while playing with his limited toys. (we seldom buy him toys) while I having my lunch, he come close to me as if demand for something without blinking his eyes. Mummy surely knows what he wants!

This little fella never miss out when it comes to food ever since he first started with solid food. He will approach you when he saw you with foods or drinks (even with a cup or bowl too) Since we are having soup for lunch, it’s no harm to let him a try and he like it so much! I feed him with a few spoon until my mom stop me from doing so as Edward just taken his cereal.

After we are back from the durian farm, daddy urges me to feed Edward with durian. It’s good to let him a taste of our favourites! Edward tastes it before somehow in last month & he shows us that he likes it. To my surprise, this little cranky is chasing me over to the kitchen by his walker after I stop feeding him. (I was washing my hand there) Can you imagine how fast he walks towards the kitchen? He cries when he looks at me & I know he demands for the durian. He cries non-stop when he see me standing there. Finally, daddy is the one who feed him with another round of durian. (see, all of us spoil him even we tell each other not to spoil him) hahaha………..we all love him what!

Durian treats

So long I have been waiting for hubby to bring me to Uncle Peng Siew’s farm to enjoy my favourite durian. I really miss it so much! (I mean the durian) I manage to wallop six to seven durians together with my hubby as both of us are durian’s lover. (that’s why we are lovers for so many years…..hahaha) ***grin***

Today is the time for us to enjoy over there as hubby had make a booking from the farm’s owner on yesterday. ***yippee*** Uncle Peng Siew open quite a few “brand” (name) of durian for us such as ang hair, koon poh, bak iu, hor lor, kim leng & etc, etc………., Can you imagine how we wallop it without more that 20 minutes. Yeah…….really yummy!!!!

Hubby bought a few packet (guni) of durian back home (I think around 15-20), which we will distribute among my aunty house & my in-laws as well. They are sure happy about it. I get my favourite durian cake too! Besides that, I buy eggs of the kampong chicken. It’s such a nice trip to the farm as we are back with packets of durian & enjoying so much of durian there. When’s my next trip????? (hubby, if u are reading this, don forget to bring me there again, ok?)

Obedient boy

Since mummy is sick & stays at home, I’m sure Edward must be very happy with mummy around. However, mummy really out of strength to play with my little darling & left him under the care of my mom as usual. To my surprise, he behaves quite well without coming into my room to disturb me while I take my nap after taking medicine. Yet, he doesn’t raise his voice too while playing in the living hall.

He seems to over excited that he doesn’t want to take his nap as he knows mummy is not working today. Only until mummy wake up from my nap, he happily run towards me by his walker & raise his hand for carry! Oh……..how sweet am I even I’m sick! He’s such an obedient boy!

Sick Again

Yes, I’m sick again! I’m having sore throat & flu, of course not to mention that I’m having difficulty in breathing too. I feel that my whole body aches & no more strength to wake up from my bed. (this explain the reason why I did not blogging yesterday night for which I seldom miss out)

I make a call to office & continuously zzzZZZZ on my bed. (hopefully my boss is not on fire when he knows I’m on MC again) After another 2 hours of sleep, I manage to wake up to give my hubby a good bye kiss before he off to work. (seems opposite as he’s normally the one still sleeping when I went out for work daily) I get my maid to prepare me oats as I’m run out of appetite, everything seems tasteless for me.

It’s time to pay a visit to my family doctor again! I must be very rich to distribute money to him in every month. err……….why I’m so weak? I better stay away from my son today. geee…….i love to hug him so much! I hope my son never ever same as me who is very low in antibody & easily get sick. I wish that my son live happily & healthily everyday!

Memory pillow

Since there are cash voucher of Jusco which is soon to expire left in the drawer, me & hubby planning to shop there after hubby’s back from his favourite badminton game. I don’t have anything to buy in mind except buying clothes for Edward. See, I love my little cranky so much! However, daddy doesn’t agree with it as he feels that Edward has plenty of clothes at home & some even never wear it before!

We shop around in Jusco and find out that they are having fair for bed linen. It’s such a good bargain with 70% discount. I surely won’t miss out this bargain. Opps…….daddy have to dig his pocket again! As we walk along the booth of Akemi, I noticed that pillow & bolster are on discount too. I always worry of daddy sleeping pillow as it was really flat already. It must be no good for the sleeping posture especially the neck. I look around searching for a good pillow & there’s one pillow really catch my interest as there’s a poster of beautiful lady sleeping on it. When I look closer, it’s “memory pillow”! According to the sales girl, it’s good for our back. It’s really soft & I think it must be comfortable to sleep on it. Furthermore, it’s good for our memory too! However it’s not cheap at all. It’s still hundred over after 20% of discount. I ask the sales girl to get two for me as I would like to give it to my hubby & aunty who always complain of her shoulder pain. Instead of two, hubby ask the girl pack it 4 for us as he said if I have none, he won’t use it too. Finally we bought 4 altogether! Then, how about the extra one? da da dang………… it’s for my mom! So sorry that I forget her at first but luckily my hubby who remind me of it, if not it must hurt my mom’s feeling. Now, everyone is happy! Then, how about daddy who is the one pay for price? (thank you so much, my dear!)

I must stop here to enjoy my new pillow with hubby as he insists of using it tonight. (actually my current pillow still look good & I plan to bring it over to my new house) I wish everyone, “good night & sweet dream”!

Playful Edward waiting for mum & dad

When we are out for shopping, Edward is waiting for us at home. He reluctant to sleep even my aunty has followed his daily routine by giving him milk before pat him to sleep in his cradle. However, he is very uncooperative at all. He twist & turn his body & wail out his lung as if abuse by someone. (as according to my aunty)

When we reach home, I saw him playing around in the living hall. He raises his hand when he saw us. I know he must be waiting for me to pat him to sleep as he was used to it since born. (I feel so sweet as my effort of spending time with him everyday really pay off) Am I too bad?

After getting myself a change, I immediately put him into the cradle & sing his favourite lullabies to pat him to sleep as it’s quite late already. (he never sleep that late before) He fell asleep very fast after a few songs. Mummy love you so much, my dear Edward!

Playing with Marcus koko

This little cranky is started knowing how to play along with his cousin, Marcus koko. For them, they are still so small to understand each other but there are ways for them to communicate. Marcus really a big boy already comparing with Edward. Marcus sayang Edward so much that he always wanted to give a peck of kiss to my son. However, my son doesn’t like the way he kiss him by turning away his face. Sometime I really feel so sorry to see Edward turn away Marcus especially to his parent. Yet, today both of them really enjoy playing together! Marcus is willing to share his toys with Edward even at sometimes he’ll reluctant to lend Edward. Anyway, at overall, they are happy! Marcus can push Edward’s walker from here to there while ah kong looks on. Edward will chase over Marcus from the back too! Both of them are laughing happily in my house’s living hall. So poor that my living hall is just too small that is pack of furniture. There’s no space for them running around too. How good if we are moving to the new house with spacious living hall. I’m sure that they must enjoying better.

Mosquito bite again

Every time when we bring Edward back to Butterworth, he will end up to be the target of attack by the mosquito. There are three of sleeping in the same room but how come the mosquito only attacks my little Edward? Mummy so heartache when looking on those red bites on my little darling’s face, hand, leg & even eyes. So pitiful as he knows nothing to complain about those red spots. It must be very itchy! That’s why he keeps on rubbing his face. My mother & aunty surely heartache just as me if looking of those red bites on my little darling’s face especially on his eyes! Mummy really dunno how to get rid of those naughty mosquito. What should I do? gerrr………how am I going to protect my lil prince from those naughty mosquito? Am I going to use mosquito repellent or bat them with the battery operated badminton bat? Oh no…. . “ a mi tuo for”!
